Reiki is a form of alternative medicine that has been on use for many years. The method is usually referred to as palm healing. During Reiki healing the practitioner places a hand on the ailing person on believe that healing power will be transferred to him through the hands of practitioner. The practitioner could either be a professional, an experienced friend and even having practiced enough, you can give it to yourself when unwell.

The method is not concerned with any kind of swallowing as in other curing process. The process is purely by spiritual means. None of religious faith is connected with the process. The method has really helped school students especially those in boarding schools and the colleges. The intention of this type of treatment was to provide care to oneself when is unable to get the assistance from the surrounding.

The method is believed to cure various types of ailments though there is no concrete evidence. Some of diseases it cures are anxiety, infertility, depression and even neurodegenerative diseases. It helps the individuals suffering from stress relax. With this type of accomplishment the healed ones can progress with their usual activities. It helps in the pain reduction to those who take it when suffering from the pain problems.

The sleep of a person is greatly improved because of changed attitude in the mind. At the same time it helps in reducing the anxiety which is almost impossible with other kinds of treatments. The changed attitude once one is touched makes him or her to recover from a long term depression.

Recovery symptoms are, running noses and the cold feeling. The occurrence of frequent running nose is very common to those who have undergone the kind of treatment. This shows that one is on the recovery path. At the same time, very low temperature feeling even though environmental temperatures are high is a clear evidence that one is heading to the right direction.

Another recovery symptom is when one begins to diarrhea. High levels of fatigue and a feeling of tiredness is another factor that someone is on the recovery path. Different people experience different symptoms when recovering.
