Musical And Harmonic Healing For Alzheimers

By Stacey Burt

Whether used as a preventative, or treatment for a specific condition, a new alternative healing practice is taking the world by sound. Known as Harmonic Healing, the practice offers a great many health benefits. Only recently has the practice become common knowledge in the United State, though it is one with many counterparts that has been used in other parts of the world for centuries.

The healing art of harmonic and musical healing both use a hands on approach. With one, light noise and sound effects are used to balance body, mind and Spirit. Whereas with the other, music is played to help individuals with brain damage and memory loss revive old behaviors, memories and personality traits that may have been lost due to Alzheimers, senility, or other mental illness.

As music records itself in our emotions and motions when we are young, it is understandable how the same musical tones and lyrics could help revive these memories. A number of documentaries, and research projects have recently proved this to be case. There are now a number of music and sound related documentaries available on networks like Amazon, Blockbuster, Neflix and Redbox.

The theory that sound has the ability has the power to heal as been around as long as many great thinkers, many like Cayce and Jung quite far back history. One could even say that Alexander Graham Bell also provided an aspect of using sound to help people connect with one another, which is and of itself, quite beneficial not only to the individual but the world at large.

When visiting a health or psychic fair, it is often good to go as early in the day as possible. As the physiological effects of some alternative and holistic can be short, while lines can often be long, it is often a good way to approach any event in which samples, or services are being provided on a first come, first serve basis. If it is impossible to arrive in the morning, it can also be beneficial to visit shortly after lunch. Not only are lines shorter, it can often take a lot of energy to attend health, holistic or psychic fairs.

Remote viewers or healers often attempt to help aid client over telephone and internet, versus at a holistic fair, or in a private office. Still, those living in rural areas often appreciate the effort. An appreciation that is often based more on positive results rather than the misguided view of skeptics.

During and after a session, clients often report feeling a sense of euphoria, or feeling high. Generally followed by a tingling sensation. The best comparison has been in relation to how one feels after electro-magnetic or bio feedback. A number of chiropractors and other holistic health centers now also offer these and other forms of alternative healing.

Both practices have a lot of potential to help people in the future. Harmonic, and music after all do share a connection when it comes to sound. As such, it would make sense that if sound has the power to heal, then so too music, poetry, radio and television.
